Today was the day the group would be heading a little way outside the main Tokyo area for the biggest gaming convention in the world: the Tokyo Game Show. The gamers in the group were anxious to get out there to play demos of the latest games, and ones that hadn't even hit stores. The excitement from the gamers among us began to rub off on the rest of the group, and by the time we'd made it out to Chiba prefecture and got off the train, all of us were anxious to get inside.
The train ride out there was an interesting phenomenon in that the closer we got to our stop, fewer and fewer normal passengers were on the train, while the number of gamers playing games on their DS or PSP was steadily increasing. When we arrived at our station, the train poured out gamer after gamer, all headed to the exact same place we were. We made sure to keep our pace brisk so we could maximize our time at the event.
After a short wait, we were ushered into the massive Makuhari Messe convention hall. Massive booth displays from various game companies like Capcom, Square-Enix, Tecmo, Konami, Bandai-Namco Games, and SEGA, as well as console makers Microsoft and Sony. With huge booths and displays for trailers of new and upcoming games, we were lost in paradise. Paradise was a little crowded, but it didn't detract from the experience.
It's difficult to convey the awesome of a convention through words, so here's a bunch of images:

Returning to Tokyo after an extremely exciting (though exhausting) day at TGS, the night was free for participants to spend however they liked. Tomorrow the tour would come to an end, and it was their chance to cram the last bit of Tokyo magic into their trip.
